Description

Doors will open for sign-in at 8:30 a.m. and the presentation will begin promptly at 9:00 a.m. Coffee and light refreshments will be provided.

Attendees are encouraged to bring a laptop or tablet.

Directions and Parking

Training description: Everything you need to know to administer the California School Climate, Health, and Learning Surveys (Cal-SCHLS) in your school or district. The Cal-SCHLS consists of the California Healthy Kids (CHKS), the California School Climate (CSCS), and the California School Parent surveys.

The training will cover:

  1. Content changes on the California Healthy Kids Survey (CHKS), the staff survey (CSSS) and the parent survey (CSPS)

  2. Using the Cal-SCHLS suite of surveys (student, staff and parent) for LCAP and CA School Dashboard reporting requirement.

  3. Information for districts who have been selected in 2 random samples of California middle and high schools who will be eligible for an all expenses paid survey administration and additional incentives.

  4. Preparation for survey administration.

  5. Registration procedures.

  6. Administration procedures.

Who should attend: This training is recommended for district/school staff who coordinate and/or administer the California Healthy Kids Survey. Please note that it is not necessary to have someone attend from each school site in your district. Those who attend are generally an individual or small district team.
